Product type: Metal fastener article (self-clinching locking floating nut).

Description

Self-clinching locking floating nuts designed for permanent installation into sheet materials. The floating nut element helps accommodate minor misalignment during assembly, while the locking thread treatment provides resistance to loosening in service.

Materials & Finish Options

Body material: Stainless steel or carbon steel (depending on variant)
Body finish: Passivated (stainless body) or zinc clear (steel body)
Nut element: Stainless steel
Nut finish: Black dry film lubricant (thread treatment)

Hazard Information

Solid article. Not expected to present a health hazard under normal conditions of use. If the product is cut, machined, drilled, or ground, airborne particulate may be generated. Use appropriate extraction and PPE during such operations.

Handling, PPE & First Aid

Normal handling: No special PPE required beyond standard industrial practice.
During machining/grinding: Safety glasses (or face shield), suitable gloves, and local extraction; use respiratory protection if airborne dust is present.
Eye contact (dust/particles): Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Skin contact: Wash with soap and water. Treat cuts/abrasions as required.
Inhalation (dust): Move to fresh air. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist.

Disposal

Dispose as scrap metal in accordance with local regulations. Collect machining debris and dispose in accordance with site requirements.
